Every child deserves the light of knowledge. We build bridges between dreams and reality for India's underprivileged children — one classroom at a time.
Yasashi Foundation was born from a simple belief: no child should be denied the transformative power of education because of where they were born or how much their family earns.

Before Yasashi Foundation found our village, my daughter had given up on school. Today she's preparing for her Class 10 board exams with a dream of becoming a doctor.
I was about to drop out to work at the brick kiln. The Pathshala centre gave me hope. Now I'm the first in my family to pass Class 8.
Volunteering with Yasashi Foundation changed my perspective on what truly matters. The smiles of these children are worth more than any paycheck.
Six years, six states, 12,000+ children — and counting. Here's how a small idea became a movement.
In 2018, Priya Nair — a school teacher from Pune — visited a remote village in Jharkhand and found 40 children who had never attended a single day of school. Not because they didn't want to, but because there was no school within reach.
She returned to the city, gathered a group of friends, raised seed funding, and opened the first Pathshala Learning Centre in April 2018. What followed was unstoppable growth driven by community trust and real, visible results.

The visionary behind Yasashi Foundation's mission to educate every child.
Aspiring to work for the education and upliftment of underprivileged children of the society, YASASHI FOUNDATION was founded by Ms. Manobi Deka — a woman of extraordinary vision and compassion.
Yasashi Foundation is a charitable organization registered as a Section 8 company under Companies Registration Act 2013, holding Corporate Identity Number U80301AS2021NPL021036. Under Ms. Deka's leadership, it has made rapid strides since its inception.
Founder Director Ms. Manobi Deka has been at the helm with over two decades of experience as an educator. She is also associated with the successful running of a chain of preschools named SPARSH since 2007.
The passionate individuals guiding Yasashi Foundation's mission every day.
The dedicated educators who bring knowledge and joy to every child we serve.
Our teachers are more than educators — they are mentors, role models, and changemakers who invest their hearts in every child.
The incredible people who give their time, skills, and hearts to our cause.
The school supported by SPARSH was on the verge of closing due the lack of fund in December 2019. Therefore team SPARSH took the sole responsibility to run the school. While looking for new school premises, Mr. Basu Dev Sharma, with a mindset to give back to the society, agreed to lease out his plot of land for the duration of five years. This act of kindness from Mr. Basu Dev Sharma came as a ray of hope for everyone associated with this noble cause.
In the year 2020, an educational centre for the school was set up with tin roofs, concrete foundation and bamboo walls, out of which three rooms measure 10/12 and two room measure 10/14. The whole process ignited a flood of inspiration and encouragement among the teachers as well as the students to continue with their dream of teaching and learning.
The school for underprivileged students, initially named Pragya Niketan was renamed as Yasashi Education Centre after the company registration under MCA on 22nd February 2021.
